The trip is now sold out and its time to start looking forward to a great trip - March will soon be here.

Its also time to plan a little get together prior to departure so that everyone who can make it has an opportunity to meet up for a bit of a social before we go.

Please put a date in your diary for Tuesday 2nd March 2010. We will meet at the Metropolitan in West Didsbury www.the-metropolitan.co.uk at 6.30pm onwards and then head over to the Namaste Nepal Nepalese Indian Restaurant www.namaste-nepal.co.uk at 8.00pm. After a big curry if anyone has any room left then we can head back over to the Met for a few more beers - why not you only live once!

Even though this years trip is now sold out I will leave all the details on this page below just in case anyone needs to refresh their memory.

We are all looking forward to a great group trip in March 2010 and we have worked extremely hard to find the right holiday at the right price.

We are going to the high altitude resort of Mayrhofen in Austria which provides easy glacier access. We won't be needing that this year though because Mayrhofen has had snow during October - making them the first resort to get snow in the whole Country. The town has since announced that this means they will have a record season for snow.

We have booked the top rated resort centre Alpenhotel Kramerwirt which happens to the #1 rated hotel in the resort on Tripadvisor. It is a 4 Star hotel in every respect and will be great to enjoy a week at. The food is especially good so you will all have to work hard on the slopes in order to keep the weight off!

The town is rated as a big après ski party resort with one of the bars being called 'Scotland Yard' - bet there has been a few crimes committed in there!

Over the next few weeks, I will be hassling the life out of all of you for the cash and referring those of you with poor memories to this website to check out all the juicy details that you can't remember.

Just one final thing - the way accommodation is provided in Austria is usually via the Austrian Twin which is two seperate matresses with seperate quilts but that share the same base. If you can't sleep in one of these or share one with a room mate then please don't book!

I predict, amongst all the gloom and doom, that the 2nd week of March 2010 is going to be a fantastic week for you!
